Best LCD Monitors | LCD Monitor Price
To be perfectly honest, picking out the best LCD monitor is pretty impossible; there is just so many wonderful monitors available. With each passing day, something newer and better hits the market, and it becomes a constant process of re-evaluating what’s best. Years ago (and yes, years ago when CRTs were still in play), one of the criteria was how difficult (heavy) the monitor is, just in case it had to be moved around. Today, that criteria had long been eliminated as you can easily pick one of these things up with one hand.
Therefore, what we will do here is recommending the best LCD monitors on the market, based on user experience (user reviews, and real life experiences), the technical specs, the functionality each LCD display brings, and also the cost of each computer monitor. Here are some of the best LCD monitors in the market today based on value, getting the most out of your money.
Best LCD Monitors – Low End LCD Monitor Price (less than $150)
This 20 inch HD Ready LCD display has tons of valued packed in. It’s quite difficult to find a 20 inch LCD monitor under $150, let alone one that’s HD Ready. Good solid display for it’s price, built in speakers will help you save additional desk room, anti-glare panel is a nice touch. Can’t complain about the 15,000:1 contract ratio either. This is really a nice monitor, great design, sleek look. I have heard minor grumblings about its lack of HDMI input, and it’s subpar speaker, but at this price, no complaints. This model is currently on sale for $139 with free shipping. Read full review on HP 20 Inch HD Ready LCD Monitor.
Best LCD Monitors – Medium Range LCD Monitor Price (less than $300)
Lots of outstanding monitors to choose in this price range.
There is a lot of like about this ViewSonic LCD monitor, it’s definitely one of the best LCD monitors from the ViewSonic family of products.. First and foremost, this LCD display is a new native Full 1080P LCD Display, which means that it’s capable of showing 1080P quality HD Videos without any issues. And that’s pretty rare for a monitor this size. The display features a jaw dropping 20,000:1 dynamic contract ratio, something you have to see, and experience to realize how crisp and how sharp this LCD display really is. At the time of this review, the priced has dropped for under $200, and it was close to $300 when this model first came out. At that price, there is nothing to complain about. If you want a high quality, full HD capable display, at an almost low budget price range, this is a no brainer. See more on this viewsonic lcd monitor here.
If you’re willing to pay a little bit more for an LCD monitor, you may want to consider this Samsung Full HDTV LCD Monitor. This is a top notch LCD monitor that has a built-in HDTV tuner. For those of us that likes to have a multi purposed monitor, this is as close to a sure thing as it gets.
The Samsung P2570 has a built-in full HD Digital TV Tuner, which allows you to watch both TV and HDTV. And it doesn’t stop there, with this LCD display, you can play high definition, and watch blu-ray movies (provided that you have a bluray player connected to this device). It has a HDMI interface, which allows you to easily connect to an HD ready device. One thing that makes this monitor stand out is the 50,000 to 1 dynamic contrast ratio; with that, you’re getting a sharper, and crystal clear image. These things may not be easily spotted, but they’re very noticeable when you place this unit side by side with another one. It’s on screen user interface is very user friendly, whether you’re setting it up for TV or just a display for your computer.
This unit first sold for over $500 at its initial release, and we’ve now seen the cost of owning one around for less than $300. See the latest price. We highly highly recommended this top notch LCD Monitor, especially if you want to use it also as a TV. Full review is available for this Samsung P2570 HDTV monitor.
Best LCD Monitors – Hi End Range LCD Monitor Price (more than $300)
HP 2709m 27 Inch Full HD LCD Monitor
Want something big? This LCD Monitor is one of the best at its size class and price. I find its ambient Light sensor very user friendly. Basically, what the ambient light sensor does is that it adjusts the brightness of this lcd display to the brightness of the ambient light in your office, or room setting. For those that enjoy working in the relatively dark environment, this monitor will automatically turn the brightness down a few notches.
While this monitor has excellent size, and exception price for its size, this is not the type of monitor that you would want very close to you (i.e. sitting in front of it, and editing documents all day). Because how big the display is, it’s not a great device, if you had to stare at it really close. It does however, work really well if you can sit a couple feet behind, and use it that way.
